Time: Services are held every Sunday at 11 am.
What To Expect
Welcome! This worship guide outlines what to expect if you come to worship with us on a Sunday morning.
Most of our worship services have traditional black gospel music. We do have a praise team that leads a more contemporary worship service occasionally throughout the year.
Upon entering the church doors, you’ll be greeted by an usher. Feel free to find a seat anywhere in the Sanctuary that looks comfortable to you.
Feel free to chat with neighbors or pray silently until the worship service begins. A worship service generally involves the following elements:
Invocation – We call on God to be present in our worship.
Hymns and Songs – We praise our merciful God through music.
One scripture
A Sermon – The pastor preaches
Prayers – We thank God for His blessings and ask Him to help us with any struggles which weigh on our hearts.
Offering – We take the opportunity to give back the blessings we’ve received from our generous God.
Holy Communion – We celebrate Communion. (first Sunday) We believe that in communion we receive the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Welcoming Guests – Visitors are given the opportunity to introduce themselves to the congregation and be welcomed.
Benediction – The pastor blesses the congregation before they depart.
Who can receive Communion?
All may receive Communion. We believe that by receiving the body and blood of Christ, one is expressing the desire to be remembered and fed the Body of Christ so that we then go back out ready to feed others by what we say and do.
